Choose any Fairy Tale, Tall tale, or Fable and change one important detail, preferable the most important detail and rewrite the story.For instance one of the most important details in the Fable, "The Princess and the Pea" is the pea. How about if instead of a pea there was a pumpkin or even a watermelon under all those mattresses? What would the princess do? Would it change the story. Or, how about if instead of the mattresses, the princess had to sleep on a stack of hay bales. I'm sure that would change the story.
Have a go at it. Let me know what you come up with.

Yep, the Princess and the Zucchini might be for a very different market. ;-)
I sort of liked "The Princess and the Pomegranite."
